Who are you?
We are a San Fernando Valley parish plant of New City Church of LA, a church in Downtown, Los Angeles.
What is a Parish?
A New City SFV Parish is a neighborhood church in SFV and a part of the family of New City Church of LA. We share our vision, core values, and resources to make a greater impact in the neighborhoods that we are located. Our goal is to be a community church for the San Fernando Valley which is inclusive gospel-centered community of lovers of Jesus Christ who connect people to God, grow together, serve the city, and extend God’s Kingdom. Our Grand Opening is on April 22nd, 2018.
How can I join the launch team or find out more about this parish?
Yes! All are welcome! Please contact our parish pastor, David Guyer at david@newcitychurchla.com for more information or just come to one of our launch team meetings on Sundays at 4 PM at Sherman Oaks Adult Center (We have launch team meetings or outreach events on Sundays).
Where do you meet on Sundays?
We meet at Sherman Oaks East Valley Adult Center, 5056 Van Nuys Blvd. Sherman Oaks, CA 91403.
Where should I park?
There is plenty of parking at the Sermon Oaks East Valley Adult Center.
Do you have a children’s ministry?
Yes. James Hur, our children’s pastor, is developing a strong children’s ministry. We also have childcare during launch team meetings.
What do you have for youth?
Yes. Anthony Rios, our youth pastor, is developing an awesome youth ministry. We have about 10 youth in our launch team.
Do you have Spanish translation?
Yes, we have simultaneous Spanish translation via headset available during our preview services.
Who’s going to be preaching at this parish?
The preaching will never be on video. It will be live in person mostly by David Guyer, the parish pastor, and Kevin Haah, the lead pastor of New City Church of LA.
